Long pulsed Nd: YAG is a safe and effective treatment for long-term hair reduction in clients of all skin types/ pigmentation. It can be used for skin type I to VI.

Laser helps to decreases hair density and texture. As its treated, hair will become villous and hair density will decrease.

You will see: Fewer hairs. Thinner hairs. Slower regrowth of hairs. Lighter hair.

Best candidates for LASER treatment are clients with dark hair and fair skin. However, with Nd: YAG, we can treat dark skinned clients as well as clients with blonde hair.  We will evaluate you at the time of your appointment to decide if you are right candidate for the treatment.

Treatment will be done under medical guidance and supervision. We take extensive history to make sure that you are right candidate and you are getting proper energy settings.

The number of treatments will be discussed at the time of your consultation. Typically 6 treatments can provide significant improvement.

With each treatment, average person loses about 20 to 30% of hair. So, multiple treatments are needed. Clients with blonde, red and gray hair will need more treatments than clients with dark hair.

There is NO downtime with this procedure. There may be temporary redness and swelling on the treated area.  Patient can continue their daily activities but need to remain out of the sun.

With the current technology, we can see significant results in all patients. But blonde, red and gray haired patients may need more treatments and more frequently, ranging from 2 to 3 months.

After the treatments, we advise you to treat your skin with care for the next couple of days. Using rough exfoliating or products that contain a lot of chemical ingredients should be avoided as they can cause itchy, sensitive skin. Avoid direct sunlight from hitting your treated skin. Do Not use a tanning bed, sun lamp, or any other indoor tanning equipment. After this period of time you can return to your daily habits with no danger whatsoever.

Complications are rare. The possible complications are:

• Pain and discomfort.
• Perifollicular edema and erythema- lasts from hours to day or two.
• Can lead to hyper and hypo pigmentation.
• Folliculitis- when treated in areas of high sweating and rubbing.
• Can rarely lead to permanent discoloration.
• Rarely can lead to scarring.
• If treated on tattoos- can lead to lightening of tattoos.
