MD Wellness & Med Spa offers injectable treatments under physician’s care for the reduction of cellulite. Injectables are most often combined with other treatment options including Radio Frequency Fat Reduction, Ultra Sound or Infrared Body Contouring via Vela Shape or Z wave.
L – Carnitine is injected in to stubborn areas for fat lass in thighs and other areas. Usual treatment is given every four weeks. We get our L carnitine compounded in one of the oldest pharmacies in country. Depending up on individual needs we use either L carnitine alone or use it along with another injectable called PPC.
PPC ( phosphotidyl choline/sodium deoxycholate) injectable is either given alone or along with L carnitine above for stubborn areas of cellulite. Treatment is done once every two weeks or four weeks depending up on individual needs.
We use a topical numbing cream to minimize pain. It is most often injected in small areas depending upon patient’s need. The usual quantity varies from 0.1 ml to 1 ml per injection, depending upon individual needs.
Before we do injectables, we do a series of blood tests to avoid or minimize complications.
We check blood counts, kidney function, liver function and bleeding times and few more tests depending up on individual needs.
These treatments are not covered by insurance and cost varies from person to person depending up on area of treatment , which injectable we are using or combo of injectable with Radio frequency or Ultra sound based therapy.
